You can migrate and change states in the State of Survival only if you are a new player or haven’t played in a long time. You will not be able to migrate to a new state if you are an active player. This problem is what is affecting many players who are still playing, but their state has a large number of players who have left a game. Hopefully, every player will be able to migrate and change states in the State of Survival.
State change for new players and requirements
Every new player has 5 days to change their state. This is a fantastic feature to have because many players choose the wrong state, which is dead, or they want to play with a friend but they started in different states.
There are a few things you must do before the game will let you change your state.
First, you’ll need a rookie relocator, which you’ll get when your city reaches level 2. You will receive a rookie relocator in the mail, which you must claim. You can only change your state if you have less than 5 days to plan. You will be unable to relocate if you exceed the 5-day limit. You will also be unable to change states once you reach level 10. If you don’t have all requirements, the only thing you can do is create a new account and start over.
Steps to change a state
To begin, click on the wilderness icon in the lower-left corner of your screen. It should launch you into the wilderness, where you will see a map icon that you will need to click and than click on globe icon.
You will now be able to see all of the game’s states. You can take a look around and inspect the states. When you find a state that you want to relocate to, you will enter it and find an empty spot where you will press the Join State option. That’s it; you’re now in a new state.
State transfer for old players
There is only one way to change states in the State of Survival, and that is to stop playing a game for a month or more. When you return to the game after a month or more (we don’t know the exact time), you will be given the option to change your state. The majority of players who leave the game do not return.
This method is extremely risky and, in the end, is not worth it, but it is your only option if you really need to change states. What’s wrong with this method is that you’ll waste a month or more without making any progress, there’s a good chance your city will be zeroed out, and there’s a chance you won’t get this option when you return to the game. Hopeful State of Survival developers will implement better ways to change a state.
