There is something deeply satisfying about harsh angles and simple geometrical shapes. The best way to express those is a fountain. The addition of flowing water can make every piece of rough concrete seem much more enticing. That’s why a modern fountain can work so well.

Without even using some form of marble, we can get a refreshing, rough fountain shape in Minecraft. Building it out of various big geometrical shapes is easy, but you can make it even more elaborate. For example, creating halos around the fountain’s main body, making the fountain’s pool in intricate shapes, and extra ornamental blocks.

Simple stone Fountain Design

Sometimes, we just want a simple rustic design for our fountain. This is why stone fountains can be so good. They fit almost any biome and are easy enough to make. Required materials are simple, as the fountain offers itself to practically any type of stone. Cobblestone itself can work extremely well.

Having a simple construction with water flowing over it is more than enough to invoke a nice rustic image. As mentioned before, this fountain fits in just about any biome. Making it great for enhancing your home in Minecraft with a nice, watery decoration.

Whether you make it in survival mode or creative mode, you’ll need very little time. The complete fountain can be expanded or changed later, but the basic construction will require little effort.

Quartz Fountain Design

Quartz is one of the nicer materials and blocks in Minecraft. So it’s worth digging out, especially if you wish to create a lot of beautiful decorations. Any decoration can be enhanced with this simple addition. However, making an entire fountain with it is the best-looking decoration you can make.

Due to the color of quartz, it can simulate a material we frequently see used in the real world, marble. Whether small or big, these fountains will end up being very noticeable. A regular-sized one can be made out of a square, a rising pillar in the middle, and a square on the top. Those simple figures can fit just right, leading to the creative use of water to fill in these shapes.

There are a few available options for going about this. It’s possible to add emeralds in certain sections where it feels fitting. The bigger the fountain, the larger the opportunities. Sandstone can also come in handy for spicing up this quartz fountain.

Options are many, so experiment freely. Multiple pools can be a great way to expand without adding onto the initial decoration too much. Keeping the overall design sleek while increasing its size.

Multi-tier Fountain Design

If you want to get complex, there are always elaborate fountains with multiple tiers to strive for. Creating a single-tier fountain can feel challenging, especially if you’re going to make the water flow work. Adding extra tiers and vertical pools to the fountain will lead to quite a few engagements with the project.

As you can assume, the skeleton of the fountain needs to be wide enough and capable of change. As we build the fountain, we will expand and change much of it. We should be able to adapt to it with the initial construction.

We will need quite a lot of materials. The incredible amount necessary can pose an issue in survival mode. There are ample seeds to make use of, to stock up on materials though, so we can resolve it quickly.
