The Ravagers are mounts that Illagers use in Minecraft. The faction itself is known for raids, which Ravagers will eventually partake in. Being mounted by some members of the faction causing quite a lot of issues in a raid. A Ravager is powerful with health and bites themselves. That is why we’ll overview Minecraft Ravager.
Ravager
Ravager is a quadrupedal mob with the potential to be mounted. Mounting this mob is something often done by Illagers who come to raid villages. The most frequent riders for this mob will be Pillagers. These mobs are powerful accessories to each raid, as their massive body and health lead to a troublesome situation for the player.
Ravager Behavior
As with other Illagers in Minecraft, Ravager will attack players, Iron Golems, and villagers on sight. The Ravager has a substantial amount of health, which allows them to take huge damage Iron Golems can dish out with a little issue. Taking multiple hits before folding over.
When this mob attacks, it will ram the enemy with its head and knock it back 5 blocks. This knockback can make them annoying to deal with. Especially with the addition of a Pillager on top of the Ravager that can shoot crossbows.
A Ravager can be stunned by blocking its attack. By using a shield to block the Ravager’s attack, we can get them incapacitated for 2 seconds. This will lead to a roar from Ravager, which will damage players at times and knock back every person nearby for 5 blocks. Illagers are pushed away as well but without dealing damage to them.
Ravager Attacks
As explored above, the Minecraft Ravager has three different attacks. Each being used depending on the circumstance. With the extra conditions included, we can often predict them.
The first attack is the ramming attack described before. Probably the most dangerous one as it can push us off the edges, dealing damage on impact and extra damage if we fall off a considerable height. Having a shield will help though.
Stunning the Ravager with a shield leads to the roar attack. This attack is easy to avoid as it has a pretty good amount of time put between it being stunned and the roar occurring. Getting a few hits in before a roar can be the best way to beat the Ravager.
Lastly, Ravagers have a bite attack. This is an attack that may be used instead of a ramming maneuver if they get in melee fully. It will deal a decent amount of damage, but it has no extra effects like the ramming one.
Ravager Drops
With the giant Ravager slain, there will be some drops to gather. Specifically, the saddle which is used to ride it. The saddle can be used to ride any of the mountable mobs, giving us more options.
