Best Thoma Builds

Thoma is one of the supporting characters in Genshin Impact but he can also be used as Sub-DPS. There are a lot of different builds and roles for Thoma, but most players are using support builds. When it comes to his performance, he is not that great. There are a lot better 4-star and 5-star characters that you can get and use. We recommend you use him only if you are a new player or someone who loves to play different characters. Thoma is the SS-tier character in Genshin Impact.

Best Thoma Weapons

Skyward Spine

Increases CRIT Rate by 8/10/12/14/16% and increases Normal ATK SPD by 12%. Additionally, Normal and Charged Attacks hits on enemies have a 50% chance to trigger a vacuum blade that deals 40/55/70/85/100% of ATK as DMG in a small AoE. This effect can occur no more than once every 2s.

Favonius Lance

CRIT hits have a 60/70/80/90/100% chance to generate 1 Elemental Orb, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12/10.5/9/7.5/6s.

There are a lot of team comps that you can make in Genshin Impact with Thoma. We recommend team comps that we think are best for Thoma. There are a lot of different characters, and there is a high chance that you do not have some of them. So you should create your team comps, test them out, and see what is best for you and your playstyle. With that, you will become better at the game, and you will know how your team works.

Thoma Skills Talents

Swiftshatter Spear: Normal Attack

Normal Attack
Performs up to four consecutive spear strikes.

Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to lunge forward, dealing damage to opponents along the way.

Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Blazing Blessing: Elemental Skill

Thoma uses the tip of his spear as a pivot to channel flames and perform a kick that deals AoE Pyro DMG and unleashes a defensive Blazing Barrier. At the moment it is unleashed, the Barrier will grant Thoma a Pyro Infusion. The DMG Absorption of the Barrier is based on Thoma’s Max HP. The Blazing Barrier has the following traits:

  • Absorbs Pyro DMG 250% more effectively.
  • The remaining DMG Absorption of an existing Blazing Barrier will stack and its duration will be refreshed if another Blazing Barrier is obtained during this time.

The maximum DMG Absorption of the Barrier will not exceed a certain percentage of Thoma’s Max HP.

Crimson Ooyoroi: Elemental Burst

Thoma spins his spear, slicing through his foes with roaring fires that deal AoE Pyro DMG and weave themselves into a Scorching Panoply.

Scorching Panoply
The Normal Attacks of active characters affected by the Scorching Panoply will trigger Fiery Collapses that deal AoE Pyro DMG and summon Blazing Barriers. 1 Fiery Collapse can be triggered every 1s. The Blazing Barriers created in this way are identical to those created by Thoma’s Elemental Skill, Blazing Blessing, except in the amount of DMG they can absorb.

Thoma Passive Talents

Snap and Swing: First Ascension Passive

Fishing attempts in Inazuma have a 20% chance of scoring a double catch.

Imbricated Armor: Fourth Ascension Passive

When your current active character obtains or refreshes a Blazing Barrier, this character’s Shield Strength will increase by 5% for 6s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3s seconds. Max 5 stacks.

Flaming Assault: Passive Talent

The DMG dealt by Crimson Ooyoroi‘s Fiery Collapses are increased by 2.2% of Thoma’s Max HP.

Thoma Constellations

Level 1: A Comrade’s Duty

When a Blazing Barrier takes DMG for any character other than Thoma, Thoma’s own Blazing Blessing CD is decreased by 3s, while his own Crimson Ooyoroi’s CD is decreased by 3s. This effect can be triggered once every 20s.

Level 2: A Subordinate’s Skills
