Balloons can be a cool addition to your collection of Minecraft items. Many players like to use balloons as decoration. Or you can use them to escape a tricky situation as they can lift you up. Some players even use them to make pigs fly!

The first thing you need to do is enable Education Mode because balloons were part of the education edition of Minecraft.
To make a balloon in Minecraft, you will need the following items.
- Latex
- Helium
- Lead
- Colored dye
Before making a balloon, you must have these items in your inventory. Like in real life, when someone makes balloons, leads or dye they will need raw materials. Similarly, you also have to make these items before crafting a balloon.
Latex
To create a balloon, you will need 6 Latex, and to get one latex, you will need 8 Hydrogen and 6 Carbon. First, you will need enough hydrogen and carbon to get at least 6 latex. After that, put them in a compound creator to get latex.
You can take help from the Periodic table to know how many Protons (P+), Electrons (E-), and Neutrons (N) are needed to make these elements.
Helium
Next, you will need some gas to fill the balloon. So in Minecraft, you can use helium to craft the balloon just like in real life. Once again, you can use the periodic table to know the atomic mass and number of helium. Put two protons, electrons, and neutrons in the element constructor. That is how you obtain helium.
Lead
You will need a lead to tie a balloon to a fence or a mob. Getting a lead is not that hard. All you need is four strings and one slimeball. If you don’t have these items in your inventory, get them by killing some spiders, breaking cobwebs, or finding them in chests. To get slimeballs, you have to go to a swamp biome; this is where you can find and kill slime.
After getting string and slime, you can put them in a crafting table; and voila you have now crafted a lead.
Dye Color
While picking a balloon, we always try to get our favorite colors. In Minecraft, you need dye to make a colorful balloon. You can get a dye by crafting various plants and flowers, combining different colors, and smelting plants.
Final Step
After getting all the materials, you are ready to make a balloon, so take your crafting table (which has a 3*3 grid). Fill the right and left columns with latex (six). In the middle column, put the dye at the top slot, helium in the middle, and the lead at the bottom.
If you want to change the color of the balloon, put a different color dye in the slot. You can have more than 16 different colored balloons.
