In LOTR Rise To War Azru-Khor is a very good Commander in the mid-tier list of the Commanders with high base stats for Focus and Speed and a decent base stat for Mighty. His main source of damage will be damage from Burn attacks/skills, so you might want to equip him with some good gear that will boost his Focus points.

Azru-Khor is also one of the iconic characters out of Evil Men ones from LotR lore amongst the Sauron forces. Azru-Khor is Tier 2 Commander and the first thing that you need to notice and acknowledge is his base trait which is “Support”. The “Support” trait will give Azru-Khor +25 (Commander) Focus and + 5 Skill points and he usually fits the best with units with high damage because his supportive skills and traits will provide additional sustain which creates a powerful combo.

Azru-Khor’s highest stat is Focus which reduces the damage that his designated army receives during battle. Whenever your Commander levels up you will have a skill point to spend in their skill tree. There are four main skills and thus four different focus points in Azru-Khor’s skill tree which we will talk about here.

Note that each of these four main skills has two additional skills connected to them which you will unlock upon leveling the main skill to level 2. On Commander Respect level 0 you will have two starting main skills.

Respect level 0 Build

The first one of two starting main skills is “Raider”. “Raider” skill when active will give:(Ranged units) % chance of dealing an additional % Burn damage after dealing damage. Each time you level up this skill the total % of bonus damage will rise.

This should be your focus point in the early game and you should max both the main skill and its two connecting skills. Needless to say, you will want to recruit strong-ranged units for this skill. At the max level of the “Raider” skill, Azru-Khor will receive an additional +15 Might points. As mentioned above upon leveling the “Raider” skill to level 2 you will unlock its two additional skills which you will be able to level up.

These two skills are:

Powder Keg: (Against 2 enemy targets) Deals an additional % Burn damage when targets sustain Burn damage. This skill has 2 rounds of cooldown.
Fuel Oil: (Against all enemies) Burn damage received +%.

It is highly recommended to max both of these skills, they are excellent bursting skills and since “Raider” is all about Burn damage, these skills should not be ignored or avoided.

Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.

The second main skill is “Warship Captain” which when active will give:(1 Allied unit) Recover % HP. You shouldn’t spend too many points on this skill unless you want to get some sustain for your units.

It is worth putting a few points on this skill to get some sustain, but you should also be careful not to spend too many and make sure you have the first skill tree maxed out. Note that the “Warship Captain” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill.

Like every other main skill, these stats rise as you level up the skill. At the max level of “Warship Captain” skill, this skill will also remove all debuffs from the army. This skill has 2 rounds of cooldown.

Two additional skills that you will unlock upon leveling “Warship Captain” to level 2 are:

Discipline: (Army) Defense +amount.
Clear-headed: Time needed to complete tips -%.

Spending skill points on these skills are up to you and your needs. While it’s not recommended to spend points in “Clear-headed” since Azru-Khor is way more useful as a battle Commander than a tips completionist, you might put some points in “Discipline” for more sustain.

Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.

Respect level 3 Build

Upon reaching Respect level 3 with Azru-Khor you will be able to unlock and level up his third main skill called “Conspirator”. “Conspirator” when active will give :(Commander) Poison and burn damage +%, Physical damage. Upon unlocking this skill you should reset your skill points and max this skill first, and put the rest of the points into “Raider”.

If you want to have pure burn damage build, you can also switch the importance of this skill and “Warship Captain”, and make “Warship Captain” your second primary skill in mid-game if you want to keep your sustain up.

Note that “Conspirator” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill. Like every other main skill, these stats rise as you level up the skill. At the max level of “Conspirator” skill, (Commander) Physical damage cannot be decreased further.

Altho it is at the same time debuff, this is a very useful max level bonus to keep the damage in your control. Two additional skills that you will unlock upon leveling “Conspirator” to level 2 are:

Treason: (First 4 rounds) [Against 2 enemy targets] +% chance of succumbing to Madness each round.
Trickery: (Against 1 enemy target) Deals % Physical damage and imposes a +% chance of succumbing to Madness for 1 round. This skill has 2 rounds of cooldown.

Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.

Respect level 5 Build

And finally, upon reaching Respect level 5 with Azru-Khor you will be able to unlock and level up his fourth main skill called “Corsair of Umbar” which when active will give: (Each round) [Allied Ranged units] % chance to attack 2 times but only at minimum damage. This should be your late-game focus point along with “Raider”, having both of these skills maxed will give both Commander and your Ranged units a huge damage power spike.

Additionally, one thing worth noting is that double attack chance doesn’t stack with units such as Morgul Arbalest. This is an excellent buff for your units and you shouldn’t ignore it. Like every other main skill, these stats rise as you level up the skill. At the max level of the “Corsair of Umbar” skill, Azru-Khor will receive an additional +15 Focus points.

Note that the “Corsair of Umbar” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill. Two additional skills that you will unlock upon leveling “Corsair of Umbar” to level 2 are:

Evil Alliance: (Evil men and Orcs) Damage received -2%
Logistic: (Army) Siege +1

Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.
