Elladan in LOTR Rise To War is well-rounded stat-wise and one of the best B-tier Commanders when it comes to Good Side and tier 2 Commanders with way above average stats for all 3 main stats. Elladan is one of the more important and iconic characters in LOTR lore and Elven nation, being the twin brother of Elrohir and son of Elrond. Elladan is Tier 2 Commander and the first thing that you need to notice and acknowledge is his base trait which is “Warrior”.

“Warrior” trait will give Elladan +25 (Commander) Might, +2 Skill points and 10% bonus (Commander) Physical damage. Elladan’s highest stat is “Might”. Might increase Physical damage dealt to enemy units and Commanders. Elladan is a great Commander for mounted units, especially Elven mounted units and his skill set is heavily favoring the recruitment of such. Whenever your Commander levels up you will have a skill point to spend in their skill tree.

There are four main skills and thus four different focus points in Elladan’s skill tree which we will talk about here. Note that each of these four main skills has two additional skills connected to them which you will unlock upon leveling the main skill to level 2. On Commander Respect level 0 you will have two starting main skills.

Before we start with Elladan Build you should check out LOTR Rise To War on PC.

Best Elladan Build

Respect level 0 Build

The first one of two starting main skills is “Gray Company”. “Gray Company” skill when active will give (2 targets) Deal %-% Physical damage. Now, this is a skill considered to be the more valid of the two starting skills, since you will want to go with a Might/damage-based build for Elladan until Respect level 5.

The reason why this skill is a bit more viable is because of its damage potential and bonus from max leveling this skill. Additionally, at the “Grey Company” skill max level, minimum damage is increased to 150% of base damage. Note that the “Grey Company” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill.

As mentioned above upon leveling the “Grey Company” skill to level 2 you will unlock its two additional skills which you will be able to level up.

These two skills are:
Reinforcement: (Round 7 onwards) [2 allied units] Recover % HP each round.
Flanking: (Against 1 enemy target) Deals % Physical damage (prioritizes Ranged units). This skill has 2 rounds of cooldown.

Both of these skills can be very useful, and you should put some points on them since you can burst enemy backline and Ranged units and 2 of your units will get great healing from round 7 onwards.

Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.

The second main skill is called “Hero” which when active will give: Might +% during combat.
This skill is useful to go alongside “Half-Elven” because of the + Might stack and proc. It’s recommended to spend points on this skill simultaneously with “Half-Elven” until you reach Respect level 5.

Until Respect level 5 it is much more rewarding and viable to build Elladan as Might Commander rather than cavalry Commander, but recruiting some Elven mounted units is still recommended because they will give your army nice bonus damage if you have “Gray Company” maxed. Additionally, at the “Hero” skill max level, Elladan will become Stun immune.

Note that the “Hero” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill. As mentioned above upon leveling the “Hero” skill to level 2 you will unlock its two additional skills which you will be able to level up.

These two skills are:
March: (Army) March Speed +%.
Leader: Experience gained from battles +%.
Both of these skills can be very useful, especially the “Leader” skill since it gives Elladan bonus experience from battles.

Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.

Respect level 3 Build

Upon reaching Respect level 3 with Elladan you will be able to unlock and level up his third main skill called “Half-Elven” which when active will give: Gain either Might +% or Focus +% during combat. As mentioned before, this is a skill tree to level up after you feel comfortable with the number of skill points invested in “Gray Company” and “Hero”.

Elladan has a pretty good Might stat and it scales well, again, as mentioned above since you would want to run Elladan as Might Commander until Respect level 5, both of these two stats are useful in their respective way and they both work well with either main skill from previous Respect level or their two connecting skills.

Nonetheless, it is a very good skill to have some points in after reaching a point of satisfaction for the first two main skill trees. Note that “Half-Elven” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill.

These stats rise as you level up the skill like every other main skill. At the max level of the “Half-Elven” skill, Elladan will receive +10 Might and +10 Focus points. This bonus is very useful, so keep this bonus in mind when deciding on spending skill points.

Two additional skills that you will unlock upon leveling “Half-Elven” to level 2 are:

Boon: (All allied units) Randomly receive one of the following buffs in battle: Physical damage received -% / Physical damage +%
Coalition: (Men and Elves) Attacks have a % chance to cause maximum damage.

Just like skills from his previous skill trees, these two are no more or less impressive and useful. These are amazing skills to buff your Men and Elves units and you should invest some skill points in them.

Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.

Respect level 5 Build

And finally, upon reaching Respect level 5 with Elladan you will be able to unlock and level up his fourth main skill called “Elven Rider” which gives :- (Commander and all mounted units) When the allied army includes elven mounted units Damage +%. This is a skill tree to focus on in the late game and switch from Might build to cavalry build Elladan.

This skill works wonderfully with mounted and Elven mounted units. It’s recommended to max this skill alongside “Half-Elven” and spend the rest of your points depending on your needs and situation. Note that “Elven Rider” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill. These stats rise as you level up the skill like every other main skill.

At the max level of “Elven Rider” skill, Elladan will receive a bonus of + 15 Speed points which will also benefit your cavalry and mobility overall. Two additional skills that you will unlock upon leveling “Elven Rider” to level 2 are:

Horsemanship: (Mounted units) Damage dealt +%.
Vow of protection: (Commander) Speed +, gain initiative during combat.

For your mounted units, you should max out “Horsemanship” because it works and scales greatly in sync with bonus damage provided by the “Elven Rider” main skill.

Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.
