Khaldoon Build and Guide

Stats:
Might: 82+1.95xLVL
Speed: 78+1.13xLVL
Focus: 61+1.11xLVL

Race:
Evil Men

Khaldoon is one of best starting commanders for evil side and that is why he is A tier Commanders. He is tier 1 Commanders with very good stats for Might and Speed. Unfortunately what makes Khaldoon F tier Commanders is his stat scaling, although he does have a very good set of skills and he is worth using until you get a better Commander.

Khaldoon is Tier 1 Commander and the first thing that you need to notice and acknowledge is his base trait which is “Warrior”. “Warrior” trait will give Khaldoon +25 (Commander) Might, +2 Skill points and 10% bonus (Commander) Physical damage. Khaldoon’s highest stat is “Might”.

Might increase Physical damage dealt with enemy units and Commanders. Whenever your Commander levels up you will have a skill point to spend in their skill tree. There are four main skills and thus four different focus points in Khaldoon’s skill tree which we will talk about here. Note that each of these four main skills has two additional skills connected to them which you will unlock upon leveling the main skill to level 2.

Respect level 0 Build

On Commander Respect level 0 you will have two starting main skills.

The first one of two starting main skills is “Experienced Warrior”. “Experienced Warrior” skill when active will give: (Commander) +% Normal Attack damage. Additionally “Experienced Warrior” skill at max level gives (Self) +amount Damage against melee units. This is a decent skill for extra damage and burst.

This main skill should be your focus point in the early game. Note that the “Experienced Warrior” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill. This skill has 2 rounds of cooldown. As mentioned above upon leveling the “Experienced Warrior” skill to level 2 you will unlock its two additional skills which you will be able to level up.

These two skills are:

  • Hunt Down: (After the Commander attacks) [Against enemy target] Damage dealt +% (effect modified by Might stat) for 2 rounds up to 2 stacks.
  • Collaboration: (Self) Normal attacks cause an additional % Physical damage.
This skill tree should be your focus point in the early game, we highly recommend maxing out “Experienced Warrior” and “Collaboration”.

Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.

The second main skill is called “Easterling” which when active will give: (Commander) Normal attacks cause enemy stats -% for 1 round. This is a skill tree to focus on if your units need more damage mitigation and if you prefer debuffing enemy units as your fighting tactic. You can combine it with “Experienced Warrior” so you have both damage and mitigation/debuff skills.

Note that “Easterling” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill. Like every other main skill, these stats rise as you level up the skill. At the max level of “Easterling” skill, Khaldoon will receive additional +15 Might points.

Two additional skills that you will unlock upon leveling “Easterling” to level 2 are:

Evil Alliance: (Evil Men and Orcs) Damage received -%.
Iron Guard: +% chance of reducing Physical damage received by %amount.
These skills are great for damage mitigation and especially to mitigate Physical damage that your Orc or Evil Men units might get hit with, it is recommended to put some skill points

Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.

Respect level 3 Build

Upon reaching Respect level 3 with Khaldoon you will be able to unlock and level up his third main skill called “Speardancer” which when active will give: (Against 1 enemy target) Deals % Physical damage, then inflicts % Poison damage (Continuous) every round for 1 round.

This is a skill tree to focus on in the mid-game and you should max it out as soon as you unlock it since Khaldoon has a very decent burst skillset from “Experienced Warrior” or mitigation from “Easterling”, depending on which one you choose from 2 starting skills, reset your skill points so you can use points that you spent on the skill you choose not to go with from first 2 main skills and max out “Speardancer”.

Note that “Speardancer” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill. Like every other main skill, these stats rise as you level up the skill. At the max level of the “Spear Dancer” skill, the Poison effect will be extended for 1. This skill has 1 round cooldown.

Two additional skills that you will unlock upon leveling “Speardancer” to level 2 are:

Envenom: (Self) Normal attacks cause an additional +% Poison damage.
Brawler: (Commander) Damage against melee units +%.

These skills are great both for stacking bonus Poison damage and for more bursts from Normal attacks. It is recommended to put some skill points in these two skills.
Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.

Respect level 5 Build

And finally upon reaching Respect level 5 with Khaldoon you will be able to unlock and level up his fourth main skill called “Marshal of the East-Mark” which gives: (Melee units) % chance of reducing Damage received by %. Additionally, at max level of “Marshal of the East-Mark” skill, Khaldoon will receive a bonus +15 Focus points.

Not much to say about this skill, if you choose to spend points in “Easterling” for mitigation/debuffing before reaching Respect level 5, you should put points in this skill instead, it’s a basically better version of “Easterling” especially if you recruit melee units and put them under Khaldoon’s leadership. If you choose to build him purely as damage/burst Commander, you should stick with “Experienced Warrior” and “Speardancer.

This skill has 2 rounds of cooldown. Note that the “Marshal of the East-Mark” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill. As mentioned above upon leveling the “Marshal of the East-Mark” skill to level 2 you will unlock its two additional skills which you will be able to level up.

These two skills are:

  • Tribal tactics: (Evil Men) % chance of attacking twice.
  • Quicksand: (Against 2 enemy targets) Damage received +% during combat, % chance of being Stunned each round.

Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.
