Ori is pretty much amongst the best Commanders stat-wise when it comes to tier 1 Commanders with a very good skill set as well, at least out of the ones from the Good side. The first thing that you need to notice and acknowledge is his base trait which is “Balanced”. “Balanced” trait will give Ori +25 (Commander) Might, +25 (Commander Speed), and +2 Skill points.
In LOTR Rise To War Ori’s highest stat is Focus but he has pretty high base stats for Might and Speed as well. Focus reduces the damage that his designated army receives during the battle. Whenever your Commander levels up you will have a skill point to spend in their skill tree.
There are four main skills and thus four different focus points in Ori’s skill tree which we will talk about here. Note that each of these four main skills has two additional skills connected to them which you will unlock upon leveling the main skill to level 2. On Commander Respect level 0 you will have two starting main skills.
Respect level 0 Build
The first one of two starting main skills is “Clerk”. “Clerk” skill when active will give:(Commander ) Focus +15. This should definitely be your focus point in the early game and you put points in it whenever you level up.
Since Ori’s highest stat is Focus and his base trait already gives him Focus stat boost, add to it this main skill and you have absolute Focus powerhouse, plus on top of it all, at the max level of the “Clerk” skill, Ori will receive a bonus 15 Focus points.
Not much to say, this skill is absolutely great for Ori and MUST be maxed out and used with this Commander. Note that “Clerk” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill. As mentioned above upon leveling the “Clerk” skill to level 2 you will unlock its two additional skills which you will be able to level up.
These two skills are:
- Clear-headed: Time needed to complete tips -3%.
- Inquisitive: Experience gained from tips +5%.
Although these skills are not useful at all for battles, you might consider putting some skill points in them and farming levels and to max “Clerk” faster through tips completion.
Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.
The second main skill is called “Musician” which when active will give:(Army) Speed +15% and (Army) Defence +15. Now, this skill is something you might bounce back and forth to since it doesn’t give burst buffs but instead gives mitigation and speed/mobility, spend points on it if you need more Speed or Defense.
Note that “Musician” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill. Additionally, on max level of “Musician” skill, the army gets +3 Attack boost.
Two additional skills that you will unlock upon leveling “Musician” to level 2 are:
- Relief: (Allied unit with the highest Defense) Recover % HP (effect modified by Focus stat. This skill has 2 rounds of cooldown.
- Level-headed: (Allied units) Removes one random debuff and recovers % HP. This skill has 2 rounds of cooldown.
- It’s recommended to put at least a few points in these two skills for additional sustain and damage mitigation for your units.
Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.
Respect level 3 Build
Upon reaching Respect level 3 with Ori you will be able to unlock and level up his third main skill “Durin’s Blood” which gives : (Commander) Commander skill damage +% during combat. Additionally, at max level of “Durin’s Blood” skill, Ori will receive +15 Might points.
This will be your mid-game focus point. It’s a great skill tree that Ori shares with Commanders such as Dwalin and Dain and it should always be maxed upon unlocking it. Note that “Durin’s Blood” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill.
As mentioned above upon leveling the “Durin’s Blood” skill to level 2 you will unlock its two additional skills which you will be able to level up. These two skills are:
- Whirlwind: (Against 2 enemy targets) Deals % Physical damage (prioritizes Melee units). This skill has 2 rounds of cooldown.
- All-In: (Against 1 enemy target) Deals % Physical damage once (Self) reduces the next damage dealt by %. This skill has 3 rounds of cooldown.
It is highly recommended to max out “Durin’s Blood”, if needed reset skill points if you put too many in “Musician” and spend them in this main skill + “Whirlwind” and “All-In” since these all are “skill” every single attack done by skills generally will do insane amounts of damage with “Durin’s Blood” boost.
Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.
Respect level 5 Build
And finally, upon reaching Respect level 5 with Ori you will be able to unlock and level up his fourth main skill “Warrior of Lonely Mountain” which will give: (Army) Physical damage received -%. This should be your focus point for late game and should definitely be maxed out along with “Durin’s Blood” for an optimal best build that will give both damage/burst and sustain/mitigation skillset.
Like every other main skill, these stats rise as you level up the skill. At the max level of the “Warrior of Lonely Mountain” skill, the army will receive a buff that will lower Burn damage received by 50%.
Note that the “Warrior of Lonely Mountain” skill is referenced as a “title” rather than “skill” which essentially means once it’s unlocked and you have a skill point in it, it will act as a passive skill.
Two additional skills that you will unlock upon leveling “Warrior of Lonely Mountain” to level 2 are:
- Long Beard: (Commander) Physical damage ignores % of target’s Defense. You should definitely put at least a few points on this skill.
- Giant Slayer: (Commander) Damage against Large units +%.
Naturally, effect stats % rise as you level up addressed skills.
